Recibimos y publicamos, desde ERS, de interés para todos nuestros asociados.
ERS is introducing a new, vastly simplified membership structure and fee system that better responds to the evolving needs of members. It comes into effect on 6 April 2010.
Under the new structure, there are just two major membership categories, Gold and Silver. Briefly, the 'Gold' category gives access to the full package of ERS entitlements while the 'Silver' category includes access to ERS' ever expanding range of services and educational products. Details are given in attached Table 1: ERS membership entitlements. Gold is divided into two sub-categories: Gold 'full' membership of ERS only, and Gold 'dual' membership of ERS and an ERS-approved partner organization. Silver has four sub-categories. See attached Table 2: Membership options and fees.
As a major innovation, will be offering the 'Silver - Under 35' absolutely free of charge. We believe this is an investment in the future of the Society, bringing with it significant advantages, notably: the opportunity to develop a large young membership base comprising members from Europe and developed and developing regions overseas, thereby promoting the exchange of information and knowledge and; the occasion to reach a wider young membership base in Europe to further one of ERS priority goals, European–wide harmonization of medical training resulting in higher geographic mobility of practitioners.
ERS will automatically assign a membership category as of 6 April and inform each member. The new structure is being introduced at the same time as ERS is migrating to a new technical support for its operations. This will also entail a number of minor changes, for example member login and password, of which we will inform you in good time. The address
